ESMERA is aimed at supporting European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop, test, and implement new technologies, including robotics. ESMERA is coordinated by four robotics skill centers &#8211; the <strong>Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems &amp; Automation, University of Patras<\/strong> (LMS), the <strong>French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission<\/strong> (CEA), the <strong>IK4 TEKNIKER<\/strong> technology center, and the <strong>Technical University of Munich<\/strong> with the support of three leading industrial partners (<strong>RU Robots, Blue Ocean Robotics<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>COMAU<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carretta in close collaboration with the Smart Mini Factory Lab (Laboratory for Industry 4.0 UniBZ), has proposed the <strong>Wire Cobots<\/strong> project for ESMERA, developing a solution for improving efficiency and safety in the production of electrical wiring harnesses through the use of collaborative robots.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-323\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi.png 800w, https:\/\/carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/carretta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/logo-hbi-512x288.png 512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HBI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>HBI was founded as an <strong>innovative startup<\/strong> in 2016 to develop solutions for industry by conducting <strong>research, development, prototyping, and the demonstration of innovative technologies and design for the promotion and implementation of circular economy and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HBI has developed and patented an innovative system for the <strong>treatment of sewage sludge, enabling the production of renewable energy and the recovery of high-value-added materials<\/strong> contained in it. The 4.0 approach to systems thus becomes part of HBI&#8217;s paradigm in which, thanks to Carretta&#8217;s collaboration, the two macro trends of green economy and digitalization meet and merge.
